DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
DAY 1: Overnight Flight
Depart for Europe.
DAY 2: Killarney
Arrive in the Emerald Isle, take in your first views of the majestic countryside before a welcome reception and dinner. (D)
DAY 3: Killarney
Discover Ireland at its most beautiful as you travel around the Ring of Kerry. Then hop on board a Jaunting Tour to Muckross House, a stately Victorian home with magnificent gardens and breathtaking views of the surrounding lakes. Inside the mansion you will see both the elegant accommodations of the 19th century owners and the more modest servant quarters. Return to Killarney for dinner and an evening of traditional Irish story telling. (B,D)
DAY 4: Cork
Today's journey brings you first to fabled Blarney Castle, where those that wish to gain the gift of the gab can kiss the Blarney Stone! Next stop is Cobh, an important port town; it was the final departure point of the ill-fated Titanic. Between 1848 and 1950, over 2.5 million people who emigrated from Ireland departed from this port. Learn about the town's history of emigration in its fascinating Heritage Centre. Enjoy dinner in Cork tonight. (B,D)
DAY 5: Dublin
A morning walking tour of Cork outlines the city's independent history. This afternoon's highlight is a visit to the Waterford Crystal Factory—be sure to pick up some souvenirs! Continue to Dublin for dinner. (B,D)
DAY 6: Dublin
Morning sightseeing of Dublin with a local guide shows you the busy streets and tranquil Georgian squares that make up this city. Visit St. Patrick's Cathedral and Trinity College, home to the Book of Kells. After a free afternoon opt for a special Irish Night with dinner and entertainment. (B,D)
DAY 7: Lake District
Cross the Irish Sea by ferry to Holyhead. Drive through North Wales to the picturesque Lake District. Consider how the area's scenery has inspired countless writers and artists as you enjoy dinner tonight. (B,D)
DAY 8: Edinburgh
The landscape that surrounds the area influenced the Romantic poet Wordsworth, whose Dove Cottage you visit today. Continue to Edinburgh and enjoy dinner in the capital of Scotland. (B,D)
DAY 9: Edinburgh
Your sightseeing tour of Edinburgh includes a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia. Walk in the footsteps of the Royal Family as you discover the Royal Bedrooms, State Dining Room and more. Use your free afternoon and evening to discover Edinburgh Castle or attend a theater performance. (B)
DAY 10: Highlands
Drive to Pitlochry to visit Blair Castle and the traditional Edradour Whisky Distillery—claimed to be the smallest distillery in Scotland. The tour includes a "wee dram" of single-malt whisky. Enjoy dinner in the Highlands tonight. (B,D)
DAY 11: Highlands
Enjoy a full-day excursion to the cultural city of Inverness, mysterious Loch Ness and the historic battle site at Culloden Moor. (B,D)
DAY 12: Glasgow
Drive through Glencoe and the Trossachs this morning. Then visit Stirling Castle before continuing to Glasgow. Tonight enjoy a special farewell dinner during your last night in Scotland. (B,D)
DAY 13: Departure
